The All-New Batman’s Identity Revealed!

A few weeks ago DC surprised us with the news that an all-new Batman is going to take over Bruce Wayne’s place as the Dark Knight of Gotham City. We knew whoever the new Batman will be, he’s going to use a robotic suit. And we know that we won’t know who the new Batman will be until after DC’s upcoming Convergence crossover finishes.

Well, if you want the identity of the new Batman now, you’re in luck.

Anyway, LaCovacha.mx scanned and posted a page from DC’s “Divergence” one-shot, and we now know who the new Batman is.

It’s none other than Commissioner Jim Gordon. Well, he shaved off his glorious mustache (bummer), but our favorite redheaded police commissioner is the the new Batman, piloting a huge mecha suit that is apparently funded by the GCPD.

We still don’t know what will happen to Bruce Wayne, or why the GCPD is taking over his duties, or why a new bunch of Robins are going to rise up in Gotham. Either way, good play, Snyder. Let’s see where this goes.
