You all know that I have this pretty awesome band called Lose Your Beer Belly, right? And you also are aware that I still don’t know why a bunch of talented and awesome musicians are letting some untalented hack hang out with them in the first place.

So I entered the band in this online battle of the bands around a few weeks ago, which resulted in screams of panic from my bandmates. We practically had no idea what to do, or what’ll happen. Also, I chose to send in the video where I looked kind of like a bloated barnacle.

So fast forward to last Friday. I opened my RSS Reader and I found out that we actually got in the semifinals. Now this is where things went crazy. You know that I have this dream to become a rockstar right? I mean, to quit the cozy, comfortable, assured corporate life and to trade it for the hazy, shitty, constantly near-poverty life of a rock star. Read the rest of this entry »

You see, I can be a bit of a snark at times. But really, I’m a generally nice guy. Shut up or I’ll kick your ovaries so hard they’ll shoot out your nose. Now go make me a turkey sammich. Anyway, I just realized that I’ve been ignoring these spam comments for over a year now, and will you look at that, they’re just begging for attention. And since I am not a rude motherfucker, I decided to show some lovin’ and reply to those comments.

If you’ve been following my blog for the longest time you would know that I’ve been making one wrong decision after another, and today I decided to turn my life around. This epiphany that I had this morning is almost like waking up next to Emma Watson.

But, really. I woke up this morning, looked for Emma Watson, was slightly pissed off because she wasn’t there, and – BAM – epiphany. This is probably the most important decision I have ever made and I shall share it with all of you.

Today, I decided to eat salad.

What.

Anyway, what is up with those plastic containers salads are served in? Every salad I buy lately gets progressively harder to open. Somehow, the container gets progressively tighter every time I try prying them open.

These fuckers.

I wish those stupid containers would just open up easily and give up those treasures they contain within. Just like, you know, your mom. Read the rest of this entry »

I don’t mean to add to the noise, but posting a retarded entry (I’ve got one written actually) just feels so improper. I’ll just pay my respects for one of the most awesome Filipinos to have ever walked the earth.

I want to write a rambling entry about one of my earliest memories from the first EDSA Revolt. I just don’t know how to begin. So let me just say this: the very fact that we have the freedom to post practically whatever we want in these here weblogs stem from this little thing she inspired called ‘People Power.’ And that’s awesome.

Rest in peace, Cory Aquino. You’ve done well. An entire nation is grateful.
