The Lapsed Gamer: Games I’m Looking Forward to Playing this 2017

Last time, I walked you through the stuff I’m currently playing. But then I am trying to catch up on a lot of games. So this means I might need to cram in as many games as possible before the year ends, to the detriment of my wallet’s well-being. Here are some of the upcoming Nintendo Switch games I am looking forward to this 2017.

Skyrim

I’m six years too late to jump on the Skyrim train, and I am so eager to catch up. I want to go out and kill dragons and finally figure out why the hell all these NPCs took an arrow to the knee.

Gear.Club Unlimited

Sure it’s originally a mobile game, but I’m not dismissing it on that basis. If it controls well, and if it plays well with challenging tracks, then I’m all for it.

Microïds and Eden Games are proud to announce the release of Gear.Club Unlimited on December 1st 2017 for Nintendo Switch.

For the first time on Nintendo Switch, players will discover an authentic racing car universe with Gear.Club Unlimited. They will approach the most incredible rides currently on the market, vibrate to the sound of high power engines to live a driving experience second to none in the most beautiful cars in the world.

Nine Parchments

A multiplayer twin-stick shooter in the vein of Helldivers and Magicka. I mean, come on, this sounds like hours of fun with my frineds trash talking that one player who can’t seem to pull his weight and will be in need of constant resurrection (probably me).

Brawlout

Since Nintendo is taking their sweet time with announcing Smash Bros. for the Switch, I’m probably going to stick with Brawlout for now for that chaortic fighting game. And I might probably spend loads of time playing it as well, despite the fact that my friends will surely kick my ass there.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

I have never played a single Xenoblade game. But since the first two games have been praised to high heavens, then I’m going to give this JRPG a try and see if I can love it the way I did I Am Setsuna.

Super Mario Odyssey

I have a Nintendo console, of course I’m playing a Mario game. I’m currently sinking in so much time in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. Of course I’m never going to let the latest and greatest Mario game pass me by!

NOTABLE MENTIONS: Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Batman: The Telltale Series, and Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition, Resident Evil: Revelations 1 & 2.

What about you? What upcoming games are you looking forward to playing? Doesn’t matter if it’s on Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, or mobile – I don’t judge! Leave a comment below and let’s talk games!
