Hey guys, remember The Man Blog? I know it’s been down for some time already but guess what, they managed to get the site back online (well, the forums at least) albeit under a new domain name.
To celebrate TMB’s glorious (low-key) comeback, Mike and I decided to stage another Banana Gangbang Rock Festival (pictures from the first BGRF here, by the way), where my bands and Mike’s band play on stage and we’d do embarrassing shit that nobody in their right mind is capable of doing.
Every weekend, my bandmates and I meet up in one of those coffee shops scattered in the metro. Aside from playing Gino Padilla’s “Closer You And I” ad nauseam, we also try to write songs.
My bandmates, in my opinion, are badass songwriters. They can take one mundane situation like “I was about to cross the road when this jeepney stops in front of me and wouldn’t let me pass; the driver parked there for a good two minutes, blocking my way, until he realized that I wasn’t going to ride his stupid jeepney” into a pretty tight song:
On May 3, 2008, the retarded boys of The Man Blog finally held its highly-anticipated concert, the first-ever Banana Gangbang Rock Festival at Bela Bar in Greenhills. Featuring bands from the members of TMB, it was an awesome night full of face-melting rock and golden beer. Lots of it.
So I’ve been hit once again by that awesometastic bug we call writer’s block, and after sitting in front of my computer for an hour already with nothing coming out of my mind, I decided to just write about something 80% of the blogosphere blogs about already. For this entry I write about MUNDANE STUFF!
So get ready to be bored shitless as I spew paragraph upon paragraph of uninteresting stuff. I mean, everyone’s doing it anyway, why can’t I? Wait, I don’t think I can. how can I blog about utterly boring stuff when these awesome things are happening around me?
