BGRF 3 is Tonight!

I’ve got nothing much to say, except that even though The Man Blog is long dead and gone, we still have the Banana Gangbang Rockfest! My band, Lose Your Beer Belly is playing tonight, along with Fuzz, The Brew, K Wasabi, PePe, and Skylit Star!

We’re playing at Blackbird Makati, located at 9815 Kamagong Street, San Antonio Village, 1203 Makati, Philippines! Here’s a map, by the way.

And this is Anne’s birthday thinger, so let’s go there, have an internet reunion of sorts, get drunk, and watch and laugh at me as I struggle playing the bass!

Hey guys, remember The Man Blog? I know it’s been down for some time already but guess what, they managed to get the site back online (well, the forums at least) albeit under a new domain name.

To celebrate TMB’s glorious (low-key) comeback, Mike and I decided to stage another Banana Gangbang Rock Festival (pictures from the first BGRF here, by the way), where my bands and Mike’s band play on stage and we’d do embarrassing shit that nobody in their right mind is capable of doing.

So today, the Beijing Olympics officially start. Not that I care, of course. Everybody knows that I’m a big tub of lard whose main physical activity would be the three minute walk from my bed to the computer table. To Plurk. (Speaking of Plurk, trying to keep your Plurk Karma up is an Olympic feat by itself. Kinda like trying to keep my penis up- no, wait! Fuck!) On May 3, 2008, the retarded boys of The Man Blog finally held its highly-anticipated concert, the first-ever Banana Gangbang Rock Festival at Bela Bar in Greenhills. Featuring bands from the members of TMB, it was an awesome night full of face-melting rock and golden beer. Lots of it.

I’m Old! And Broke! And Fat! Happy Birthday Yay!

So today, I turned 25. Dammit, I’m old.

I don’t know. I used to look forward to my birthday because birthdays bring with them gifts, parties, and a generally happy atmosphere. Now I just dread them, mainly because it’s a reminder that I’ve wasted another year doing nothing but writing profane jokes in what the kids call a “blog” (seriously, what the hell is this thinggummy you kids call blogs? Is it an online diary or something? Coz that’s so gay).

So to start off my birthday, the construction workers in our street greeted me by way of this awesome dialogue repeated ad nauseam, a.k.a. conspiracy flashback:

Guy: PUTANG INA NAMAN! MAGSAING KA NA! MAGTATRABAHO PA AKO!
Wife: LECHE KA! KUNG DI MO INUBUS ANG PERA NATIN SA GIN KAGABI MAY ISASAING AKO!
Son: Ang iingay nyo! Di ako makapag konsentreyt sa laru ko! Binabato ko lahat ng dumadaan dito eh! Tapos mamaya sisinghot pa ako ng rugby habang kumakanta ng Salbakuta.
Guy: Ang galing mo anak! Keep it up, tatanda ka na katulad ko!
Son: Oo naman tay, idol kita eh! Hay payb!

I seriously don’t know of a better way to start off a birthday. A knifefight maybe? With the end result of one of the construction worker’s guts on the street just in front of our house? That would be perfect, but you have to remember: they took out the streets in our village and turned them into muddy mush!

Anyway, to remind me of my impending mortality (and alleged ambiguous sexuality. Those assholes), the monkeys over at The Man Blog Forum gave me these gifts:

Well, I just came from Hong Kong, I’m tired as hell, and I got a shitload of stuff to blog about (Yes, Sorsi, I’ll blog about that. Later.). But you see, I have to put all those other blog assignments off because I have to report the single most important event in your life.

There, I said it. The single most defining face-melting event in your life. Your. Life.

You see, there comes a time in every man’s life where he has to get his face melted off by a bunch of awesome bands playing awesome tunes. That experience can be best described as “orgasmic”. Or “ear-melting”. Or “being raped in the ears by a thousand bananas… of AWESOME!”

Hence, we at The Man Blog have created the ultimate face-melting orgasmic experience for you: The Banana Gangbang Rock Festival!

Featuring bands of such notable celebrities such as Mike “Fucking” Villar, Marco Palinar, Lauren Dado, and some hot Dominic Ochoa lookalike named Ade Magnaye.

Also, there are going to be more awesome bands playing along with the TMB bands such as Mannequin, Drift and more.

The Banana Gangbang Rock Festival happens in May 3, 2008, in Bela Bar, Greenhills (map). Tickets cost a 100 bucks each, and is consumable.
