Doctor Who’s internal logic doesn’t make sense most of the time (I swear their continuity is totally screwed-up), so I usually don’t even try to entertain those questions. I just usually try to accept most of the things they show at face value.

But from what I can gather from the previous episodes is that even though they never existed, most of they things they own never get erased – that’s why Rory’s engagement ring’s still there, even though nobody owns that ring anymore. It’s a stretch to connect that to Amy, but it’s the closest to an explanation I can understand.

Also, yes, Doctor Who’s a totally enjoyable show! High five, fellow n00b Whovian!

I just finished watching The Big Bang, and I enjoyed it. I’m somewhat confused though. If Amy’s parents fell into the crack and never existed, wouldn’t Amy have been erased from existence too?

I guess I don’t quite understand the rules of Doctor Who’s universe yet ( this is my first season of following the show).

I wouldn't mind seeing an entire season of Carey Mulligan running around the TARDIS too! Great idea!
